Hydrovac
Hydrovac units are not only used for utility potholing and excavating—they can be used for many other applications such as water, mud, sludge or slurry removal from things such as pits and tanks, as well as cleaning large tanks. They can also be used for cleaning up spills of various fluids and materials from different surfaces such as soil, asphalt or concrete.
Utility Locating
Advanced Line Systems can help locate any utility that lies underground and may be a potential hazard to your project. Using different methods such as electromagnetic equipment (consisting of a transmitter and a receiver), radiolocation, ground penetrating radar or traceable cameras, we can locate private water, sewer, communication, electric and any other existing utility that does not fall under your public utility locate request.
Utility Potholing
At Advanced Line Systems, we are experts in the process of Utility Potholing and Daylighting. Hydrovac excavation is the process of using high pressure water to loosen the soil and high powered suction to collect the slurry created. We are able to safely expose a utility line with a hole approximately 8” in diameter and ascertain its vertical and horizontal position underground. Utility Potholing is typically conducted before excavating or during the planning and engineering phase of a project.
Energy Services
All of the services that Advanced Line Systems offers to the residential and commercial utility construction industry are also offered to the energy production and pipeline construction industry. Knowing safety is the main priority on these jobs. We also implement OSHA & first-aid training to employees. Daily JSA’s and weekly safety and tailgate meetings along with a documented drug & alcohol testing program as per DOT/Pipeline construction standards are just some of the steps taken to ensure a safe working environment for all involved.
